In spite of the 3-0 score line, REME CoD B team played out a tense affair against RLC B tonight. Whilst many teams have been swept aside by Maccies and co, this RLC team showed all the signs of a good team comp but couldn't turn early match performance into a victory.
This was our side's closest call on their opening hardpoint as the score sat at about 120-80 after the first round of rotations. Some crucial plays by BigEar secured a high scoring second round of hardpoints and eventually the first round win.
SnD started off as another tight affair with the defending teams taking all the rounds to leave the match poised at 2-2. A crucial 3 piece by Lawzify in round 5 sent the REME in to a 3-2 lead and on-point shooting from Smithster helped to secure the 6-2 overall win.
The final map as it would turn out, was control on checkmate that finished off 3-0. The RLC with rue missed chances in round 2, but an excellent sequence from Dizzy put the pressure on to turn the tide. A solid performance in round 3 from the whole team secured the victory and means that they maintain their unbeaten streak in the league having not dropped a single map.
