The end of the wildcard round leave the places set for the challengers knockout phase. Here's a quick rundown of the action from this week.

Wildcard Match 1 - AGC Old Timers 5 - 0 H4H HeroUp

Both of these sides were yet to pick up a map win during the mustang cup however, it would be the Old Timers that turned the screw on their veteran counterparts. The result never really seemed in danger despite the H4H side having put in some extra hours on map tactics and HP rotations. The Old Timers will now go on to face Blesma in the Challengers Quarter Final in gameweek 6. Blesma sit as favourites for this clash after their performance in group A, but the Old Timers now have some momentum to build on and will be looking to stop Legless and JackTop in their tracks.

Wildcard Match 2 - AGC Sentinels 1 - 4 Navy All Stars

These are another pair of teams that struggle to gain any momentum during the group stage, managing only 5 map wins between them. Despite the Navy taking a 2 - 0 series lead in this matchup, the Sentinels fought back to secure the control round 3 - 0 leaving the match finely poised at 2 - 1 overall. Bad luck and some unfortunate rotations in Map 4 meant that the Sentinels were stopped in their tracks losing the second hardpoint 250 - 236 which could have seen them draw level to 2 - 2. In a game of fine margins, it's the Navy All Stars that will now take on a very good Infantry-B side in the Quarter Finals.

Wildcard Match 3 - AGC Red Leg 5 - 0 SappersGG-B

The AGC Red Leg team progress through the wildcard round as the result of forfeit from SappersGG-B. It's unfortunate to lose a team at this stage however, the Red Leggers can now focus on a match vs RAC Esports in the Quarter Final.

Wildcard Match 4 - Royal signals GN-B 3 - 2 Gunners Esports

A very tight affair by all accounts. Both SnD rounds went to round 11. the losing team on the hardpoint maps scored over 200 points. Aside from a 3 - 1 score on control, this game couldn't have been much closer. That being said, Signals-B has it wrapped up by map 3 after clean sweeping their way to 3 - 0. The Gunners however, showed their class and doggedness to regain some pride and close out the game 3 - 2. They will be left to RUE what could have been as they exit early but can take positives moving forward into subsequent competitions. The Signals will now face off against Legion Games in the Quarter Finals which should be a cracking game.

From the organisers of the Mustang Cup, congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to those who exit at this stage. I hope all teams and players can take something away from this tournament despite the results and would hope to see you back next time in a revised format.
